REVIEW: Hemsley + Hemsley

I went to a fantastic restaurant this week in Selfridges on Oxford street whilst doing some Christmas shopping! I picked Hemsley + Hemsley because of their focus on sustainability.
They use:
responsibly sourced, preferably seasonal, and wild-caught fish
carefully sourced ingredients, supporting local producers (British producers) including seasonally and sustainably farmed fruit and veg
some of their profits to support The Real Junk Food Project London that diverts surplus food meant for the landfill

I had the Butternut squash and sweet potato soup with lemon zest and cumin with a quinoa, roasted vegetable and brazil nut basil pesto salad. I was excited to read that the quinoa in my salad had been sourced locally from Hodmedod's, an independent business selling home-grown quinoa supplied by a family-run farm in Essex. My mum ordered the salad again along with two other salads and the fish of the day, sea bass. We both highly recommend this restaurant as a way to eat a little more healthy and sustainably.
